Your First Visit
Your intial visit to our practice establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we will make sure to obtain important background information, such as your medical history, dental history, and your chief concerns. You will also have ample time to get to know Dr. Obman and ask any questions you may have.
It is our mission to provide you with the most up to date comprehensive dental care available. We strive to achieve this in a comfortable, safe environment. Every treatment modality we initiate is with the help of highly trained individuals dedicated to your optimum oral health.
To fulfill this mission, we are committed to:

- Earning the trust and respect of our patients, our profession, and our community
- Exceeding your expectations
- Ensuring a compassionate, empathetic, professional environment
- Striving for continuous improvement at all levels
The Initial Examination
The initial oral examination includes a visual examination, an in depth clinical evaluation of all hard and soft tissues, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations, and a comprehensive treatment consultation. We will also take x-rays which may include a digital full mouth series of images to be utilized for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the interproximal areas of the teeth. A photographic series of images and a set of study models may also be obtained to facilitate the proper diagnosis of your current condition. It is safe to assume your initial appointment with us will take approximately 60 to 90 minutes. We look forward to meeting you!
Please remember to bring these with you to your first appointment:
- Your completed patient information forms
- Your dental insurance card (if applicable)
Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!
The American Dental Association recommends a visit to your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
We understand you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit our office, please remember your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.
